If you are a website developer, then you will understand the problems with resolutions on websites. Now unless you are using a fluid layout you will normally always have some kind of empty space on the sides of the websites you are developing. Now that is fine, using fluid layouts have their own problems. Now the question I want to ask is when when 1024 x 768 die?
Looking at the graph on this page : http://gs.statcounter.com/#resolution-ww-monthly-200912-201010-bar you will see that 1024 x 768 is by far the largest percentage of people.
Meanwhile if you look at this page : http://gs.statcounter.com/#resolution-ww-monthly-200912-201010 you will see that 1024 x 768 is reducing very fast. The fastest increase of resolutions is 1366 x 768. Now that would be great to develop for.
I would really like to have wider websites that would say hit 1280 but without using a fluid layout that is quite difficult. I would like to know from you, when you think that 1024 x 768 will die, if ever?
PS, thank goodness that 800 x 600 looks like it is about to get killed.
